Our Commitments to You
Every puppy from Highland Border Collies comes with these comprehensive guarantees.
2-Year Genetic Health Guarantee
We guarantee that your puppy is free from genetic defects that would significantly affect the quality of life for a period of two years from the date of purchase. This includes hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and hereditary eye conditions.
Veterinary Health Certificate
Every puppy leaves our facility with a comprehensive health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. This includes a full physical examination, up-to-date vaccinations, deworming treatment, and documentation of all health checks performed.
Lifetime Breeder Support
Our commitment doesn't end when you take your puppy home. We offer lifetime support for all our puppies, including training advice, health guidance, and behavioral consultations. You're part of the Highland family forever.
AKC Registration
All our puppies come with full AKC (American Kennel Club) registration papers. We ensure proper documentation, pedigree information, and transfer of ownership is handled correctly and efficiently.
7-Day Health Check Period
We provide a 7-day health check period during which you can have your puppy examined by your own veterinarian. If any health issues are discovered, we will work with you to resolve them promptly.
Microchip & Identification
Every puppy is microchipped with a registered microchip before leaving our facility. This provides permanent identification and increases the chances of recovery if your puppy is ever lost.
Parent Dog Health Testing
Before any dog enters our breeding program, they undergo extensive health testing. We only breed dogs with clear genetic panels and excellent orthopedic evaluations. This commitment to health testing is the foundation of our breeding program.
Important: All health testing documentation is available upon request. We believe in complete transparency about the health of our breeding dogs.
Required Health Tests
Puppy Vaccination Schedule
All puppies leave our facility with up-to-date vaccinations. Here is the schedule we follow.
First DHPP (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus)
Second DHPP + Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
Third DHPP + Leptospirosis (if applicable)
Rabies (as required by state law) + Final DHPP booster
What is Covered
- Genetic hip and elbow dysplasia (2-year guarantee)
- Hereditary eye conditions including CEA and PRA
- Genetic neurological disorders
- Congenital heart defects
- Any condition proven to be genetic in origin
- Replacement puppy or refund (at our discretion)
What is Not Covered
- Illnesses due to neglect or improper care
- Injuries or accidents after purchase
- Conditions caused by environmental factors
- Issues arising from failure to follow care instructions
- Parasites (puppies are dewormed before departure)
- Conditions that develop after the guarantee period
